Fiber Underground Foreman should have extensive knowledge of underground utility construction operations including equipment used (directional drilling and plowing), labor skills, safe digging operations, and OSHA requirements.
This role will be the direct supervisor of field construction crews; planning, directing, and organizing their day to day operations.
Responsibilities:
-Directly supervises crews for underground fiber utility construction project -Develops work-around procedures for maintaining crew productivity during delays caused by other trades, customer, lack of materials, absenteeism -Monitors quality assurance and ensures installations meet customer specifications and industry standards -Supports leadership team in ordering supplies, equipment, and materials for projects -Ability to interpret and communicate project plans and standards to support staff, labor crews, subcontractors, vendors, and customers -Oversees project plans, objectives, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of the company's mission, values, and policies -Basic ability to understand the financial health of project managing cost and profit of project -Must adhere to and uphold T Com's safety culture on-site, leads by example, ensuring all safety practices are observed by crew while working -Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hard hat and hi-vis vest when working on-site.
-Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting, working at heights, in confined spaces, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.

Experience:

years in underground fiber utility construction as a Foreman/Supervisor (reading prints, crew planning, conduit placement, fiber placement, manhole placement, hand hole placement, cable and fiber pulling, and conduit work) -Equipment operating experience (mini-ex, trencher, plow, directional drill) Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid US driver's license (CDL preferred, but not required) with a clean driving record (no accidents in 3 years, no DUI in 5 years), and pass a drug and background screen.
